Fact Sheet
Star Nursery
Giant new stars are taking shape in the nearby dwarf galaxy NGC 1569, which is depicted in this Hubble Space Telescope image. Bright blue clusters of hot, young stars highlight the image, along with big "bubbles" of hot gas that formed when massive stars exploded. A bout of new star formation began about 25 million years ago. [Credit: NASA/STScI]
