Fact Sheet
Moon and Planets
The Moon will pass near the planets Mars, Venus, and Mercury, plus the bright star Antares, in the dawn sky this week. The best view comes about 45 minutes to an hour before sunrise. Mars, and Antares are high enough in the sky that they should be fairly easy to pick out, but Venus and Mercury are much lower, so you will need a clear horizon to spot them. [Credit: Tim Jones]
