Fact Sheet
Seeing Red
Jupiter's Great Red Spot, a storm big enough to swallow two Earths, highlights this image from Cassini. The craft flew past Jupiter in December 2000, using the planet's powerful gravity to get the extra "kick" it needed to reach Saturn. Over a four-month period, Cassini teamed with Galileo, which was orbiting Jupiter, for observations of the giant planet. [Credit: NASA]
