Fact Sheet
Another Day, Another 16 Sunrises
The Sun rises behind one of the electricity-generating solar panels on the International Space Station. A member of the Expedition Two crew snapped this image with a digital still camera. The station orbits Earth every 90 minutes, so crew members see the Sun rise and set 16 times in each 24-hour "day."
