On the Plains of Descartes
Apollo 16 astronaut Charles Duke takes a break from exploring a lunar crater
to pose for mission commander John Young, who is reflected in Duke's visor.
Their "Moon buggy" is on the far rim of the crater. Young and Duke landed on
the
Moon 30 years ago this week, and spent three days exploring the Plains of
Descartes.
