Cholla Site Fact Sheet

Moments Before Sunset

A shadow cuts across the Cholla glyph moments before sunset on the summer solstice. This interplay of art and light is one bit of evidence that suggests the rock shelter was an important sunwatching station for people of the Davis Mountains.
